The iPhone 17 Air may disappoint with its battery
According to Instant Digital, a source with over 1.4 million followers on Weibo, the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will have a battery capacity of less than 3,000 mAh. As is well known, battery capacities in the industry are steadily increasing, and nowadays even 5,000 mAh is barely considered acceptable. Especially with Chinese brands offering batteries exceeding 7,000 mAh, users also expect similar performance from major manufacturers like Apple.
Previous rumors claimed that the iPhone 17 Air’s battery would be around 2,800 mAh, which, like the latest report, falls short of the 3,000 mAh mark.
Of course, while battery capacity is important, it’s also possible to offer longer usage times with software optimization.
